Approach 580’s main purpose is to
generate economic growth by investing
in major physical regeneration projects
within its area.
The programme aims to improve the area’s infrastructure and communications and bring forward sites and premises for investment and employment creation.
The area includes Knowsley Business Park, Knowsley Industrial Park, Stonebridge Business Park and Aintree Industrial Park in Liverpool.

Programme running for 7 years until December 2008.European Objective One funding of £18.6m has been allocated within the area and has attracted a further £28.8m of public and private sector investment.
