Stall charges
Below are the current charges for stalls on Kirkby market.- Licensed non-food stall inside per 10ft stall per day £17.50
- Licensed food stall inside 10ft stall per day £20.50
- All licensed stalls are inclusive of .50p advertising levy
- Casual stalls inside per 10ft stall per day £24.00
- Casual Stalls will be charged at pro rata to a 10ft stall (i.e. a 6ft stall will be £24.00 x .6 = £14.40)
Casual traders
Stalls are available to traders, initially on a casual basis, whereby stall holder’s trade on individual random market days of their own choice.To apply to become a casual trader please download the casual details form which can be found in the attachments box below. The completed form must be taken or sent to the market office.
On the first day at the market, casual traders must show the following:
- Public Liability document to the sum of £2,000,000 (must be the original document)
- One form of identification document (driving licence, council tax bill, passport or utility bill issued within the last three months
- The trader's name and address on the identification document must be the same as on their insurance.
- The trader must always sign on in person between 8.00am and 8.30am
- If a vacant stall is available it will be allocated at 9.15am
- If a casual is going to be late they must ring the office before 8.30am
Trialing casuals
Any regular casual trader who trades for a period of four weeks will become eligible to apply for a licence.Licensed traders
Casual trader’s area asked by the market office after trading in the correct manner for a minimum of 4 weeks to apply for a licence. Licensed traders trade on stalls exclusively reserved for the trader on the market day.
