Swimming

At Knowsley's leisure centres, you can relax in our spacious
pools and enjoy a leisurely swim. We also provide 'learn to
swim' sessions and ladies only classes as well as a varied
selection of swim classes for you to get involved in.
Types of swimming sessions:
Early Swim
There really isn’t better a better way to start you day and
maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle.
Public Swim
These sessions are open to all ages from 8 years old.
Adult and family swim
These sessions are exclusively open to individuals over 16 and
family groups.
Children’s fun sessions
These programmed sessions are a mix of fun and excitement. There
might be a giant raft and float session or possibly the giant pool
inflatable. Ring the centre for more details
Adult and lane swim
These sessions are specifically for adults. You can enjoy a
relaxing swim or for those who want to seriously train, why not try
some lane swimming?
ASA learn to swim sessions
These classes are for young people over the age of 4 years. Our
fully qualified instructors really give your child that quick start
to gaining water confidence.
Under 8's admission policy
All children under the age of 8 years must be accompanied by a
responsible person aged 16 years or over.
The responsible person can accompany a maximum number of two
children between the ages of 4 to 7 years of age and must maintain
a constant watch over the children for whom they are responsible
and maintain close contact with those children whether they are
swimmers of non-swimmers.
Children under 4 years must be accompanied in the water at all
times by a responsible person 16 years or over on the basis of one
responsible person to one child ratio.
